KOSPI Ends Around 2760... Hits Intraday High of 2782, Setting New Record

The KOSPI opened at 2769.43, down 0.02% (0.63 points) from the previous day, and showed a sideways trend, fluctuating during trading hours.
At one point during the session, it rose to 2782.79, setting an intraday record high.
In the KOSPI market, individuals net bought stocks worth 1.0335 trillion KRW. In contrast, foreigners and institutions net sold 368.4 billion KRW and 701.5 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, food and beverages (1.25%) and paper and wood (0.66%) rose, while steel and metals (1.05%) and distribution (1.19%) declined.
Among the top 10 companies by market capitalization, only Samsung Electronics (0.54%) and SK Hynix (1.3%) rose. LG Chem (1.86%), Samsung Biologics (0.98%), and Celltrion (0.97%) fell.
The KOSDAQ closed at 929.54, up 0.12% (1.10 points) compared to the previous trading day.
The KOSDAQ started at 930.78, up 0.25% (2.34 points) from the previous day, and continued a sideways trend.
In the KOSDAQ market, individuals and foreigners net bought 3.8 billion KRW and 75.6 billion KRW, respectively, while institutions net sold 55.9 billion KRW.
By sector, computer services (0.71%) and chemicals (0.81%) rose, whereas telecommunications equipment (1.45%) and internet (2.23%) declined.

Among the top market cap stocks, Celltrion Healthcare (1.32%), Celltrion Pharm (4.32%), and Seegene (6.91%) rose, while HLB (2.64%) and EcoPro BM (2.74%) fell.
