The project is worth approximately 100 billion KRW, making it the largest single contract for system construction among all e-government export projects to date.
This project aims to digitalize the entire tax administration operations in Indonesia. The system will be used by 42 million taxpayers and 32,000 tax officials in Indonesia. System construction will begin next year and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024.
LG CNS stated, "This project will apply cutting-edge IT technologies such as cloud and big data, and we expect it to become a successful case of digital transformation (DX) export."
LG CNS has experience and capabilities in various national tax system fields, having built Korea's National Tax Service integrated tax system, cash receipt system, and big data system. Since 2015, it has successfully constructed and operated Indonesia's national financial information system. In 2007, it also built the system for the Indonesian National Police.
Among the seven global consortia participating in the international competitive bidding, LG CNS was the only Korean company to participate. The National Tax Service actively supported the proposal from the initial stage. The head of the National Tax Service even sent a letter of recommendation to the Indonesian Minister of Finance.
It is expected that many domestic small and medium-sized software companies entering overseas markets will emerge through this project. LG CNS included plans to utilize solutions from domestic SMEs in various fields such as cloud solutions, data management, linkage, and extraction in its proposal. According to negotiations with the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, many SMEs are expected to gain opportunities to enter overseas markets, the company explained.
