COVID-19 New Cases 718... Daily Count Falls Below 1,000 (Update 2)
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] On the 14th, 718 new domestic cases of COVID-19 were reported.
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight, 682 new domestic cases and 36 imported cases were confirmed. The total cumulative number of confirmed cases reached 43,484 (4,930 imported cases).
There were 288 newly released from quarantine, bringing the total number of released to 32,102 (73.82%), with 10,795 currently in quarantine. The number of critically ill patients is 185. There were 7 deaths, bringing the total death toll to 587 (fatality rate 1.35%).

Among domestic cases, new confirmed cases were concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area with 217 in Seoul and 220 in Gyeonggi. This was followed by 51 in Chungnam, 36 in Incheon, 26 in Gyeongnam, 22 in Gwangju, 21 in Chungbuk, 19 in Busan, 16 in Daegu, 15 in Gyeongbuk, 14 in Gangwon, 8 in Jeonbuk, 8 in Jeju, 4 in Ulsan, 3 in Sejong, and 1 in Daejeon.
