Fire in Jeonnam National University Engineering Lab... Dozens Evacuated in Commotion
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] At around 2:50 PM on the 11th, a fire broke out in the Chemical Engineering Department laboratory on the 4th floor of Building 5, College of Engineering, Chonnam National University.
There were no casualties, but the fire partially burned the interior of the laboratory and caused soot damage throughout. The fire was extinguished by the 119 fire brigade. A large amount of smoke caused dozens of students and staff to evacuate in a commotion.

Classes had been held in the laboratory until 2 PM, but it was found to be empty at the time of the fire as the class had ended. The police are conducting an on-site investigation and plan to investigate the cause of the fire.
