Dongkuk Steel Enhances Work-from-Home Ratio to 50% in Response to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] Dongkuk Steel announced on the 11th that it has increased the proportion of remote work for management staff from the previous 30% to 50% in response to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
In line with the government's strengthened COVID-19 response guidelines, Dongkuk Steel has raised the remote work ratio to 50% for workplaces located in the Seoul metropolitan area from this week until the end of the year. It also recommends using video conferencing for meetings with 10 or more participants and prohibits gatherings and events of 5 or more employees.

Dongkuk Steel is simultaneously supporting the improvement of remote work efficiency by expanding video conferencing systems and producing and distributing door handle signboards. Additionally, Dongkuk Steel has introduced a ‘Daily Disinfection Keeper’ system at its Seoul headquarters, conducting self-inspections and simple disinfection three times a day.
