Gimhae-si Jinyeong-eup 'Kimjang Sharing Event with Neighbors in Need'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Jinyeong-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Gimhae-si, Gyeongnam, held the 2020 Love Kimchi Sharing Event with neighbors in need on the 8th.
This kimchi sharing event was thoroughly prepared with preventive measures by placing hand sanitizers and thermometers in advance due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Unlike previous events that involved participation from self-governing organizations and residents, finished products were purchased and delivered non-face-to-face through village chiefs to 791 households receiving basic livelihood security benefits in the district (3kg, 845 boxes) and 73 senior centers (5kg, 73 boxes).
Meanwhile, warm acts of neighborly love continued during this event.
The Jinyeong Rotary Club and Hanaro Rotary Club donated 100 boxes of 5kg kimchi, and Bonghwasan Jeongtowon donated 65 boxes of 5kg kimchi, which were delivered to senior centers and marginalized groups.
