Goheung-gun Selected for Fisher Village New Deal 300 Project, Secures 4.9 Billion Won
Reinforcement of Breakwater, Remodeling of Seaweed Experience Center, and Village Landscape Improvement Including Ssamtzi Park
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 10th, Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the 2021 Fisheries New Deal 300 Project (Geumsan-myeon Myeongcheon) by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries was selected, securing a total project cost of 4.9 billion KRW including national funds.
The 'Fisheries New Deal 300 Project' is a community-based living SOC (social overhead capital) project that supports the innovative growth of fishing villages. It plays a role in modernizing essential infrastructure such as outdated piers and is an integrated development project for fishing villages and ports that reflects regional characteristics.
Through this project, Goheung-gun plans to reinforce breakwaters, remodel the seaweed experience center, create a multipurpose communal workspace, and improve village landscapes such as Ssamsi Park.
