Incheon Namdong-gu to Collect Household Waste During Daytime Starting January Next Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Namdong-gu, Incheon will switch the collection of household waste to daytime hours starting January 4 next year.
The implementation area covers the entire Namdong-gu, targeting general volume-based waste bags, recyclables, and food waste. Collection hours will be from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the disposal method remains the same as before.
The daytime collection of household waste is a measure to reduce the risk of safety accidents for sanitation workers caused by collection work during dark late-night hours and to improve their working environment.
Previously, the district completed preparations such as a three-week pilot operation of daytime collection and a cost estimation service.
