This is the result of putting all efforts into fulfilling the pledged projects to bring changes in daily life such as jobs, education, culture, health, and quality of life, and to fulfill responsibilities to the residents.
In May, it was also proven by receiving the highest grade, SA grade, in the “7th Local Government Heads Pledge Fulfillment and Information Disclosure Evaluation” hosted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters.
Since the launch of the 7th local government in 2018, the district established a four-year administrative plan called 'Songpa Vision 2022' and selected a total of 75 pledged projects in five areas: ▲Job Songpa ▲Learning Songpa ▲Safe Songpa ▲Dreaming Songpa ▲Fun Songpa.
Among them, in the first promise to residents, the ▲Job Songpa area, 7 out of 10 projects have been completed, including 'Establishment and operation of the Integrated Job Support Center,' 'Establishment and operation of the Comprehensive Worker Support Center,' and 'Revitalization of traditional markets and shopping districts.'
Additionally, the remaining three projects, such as 'Attracting cultural and job support facilities to the Seongdong Detention Center site,' 'Creating an ICT security cluster at the Central Radio Management Office,' and 'Promoting the development of the Jamsil Sports Complex area in the International Exchange Complex District,' are also progressing smoothly.
Based on the 'Establishment and operation of the Integrated Job Support Center' project, job services that were previously scattered across 22 locations have been integrated and systematically managed, providing tailored job information for each target group, including people with disabilities and women with career interruptions.
Also, through an agreement with Job Korea, the 'Munjeong Biz Valley Specialized Recruitment Center' is operated, and by utilizing a 'self-introduction letter analyzer,' competency diagnosis services for job seekers have been provided, contributing to the creation of about 10,000 jobs.
Especially this year, actively responding to COVID-19, various non-face-to-face employment support programs were conducted. Projects such as the visiting 'AI Interview Experience Center' in cooperation with Ilsin Girls' Commercial High School, the Songpa Employment Academy 'Songsagwan,' a specialized program for job and industry-specific employment, and 'Songpa Job Start' for post-COVID-19 era recruitment strategies and practical preparation were carried out.
In addition, the 'Meetup! Startup' program connecting startups and young job seekers was held, and in September, a 'Non-face-to-face Recruitment Briefing Session' was held with participation from four mid-sized companies including 'Woowa Brothers' and 'Hanmi Pharmaceutical.' The 'Online Job Fair' held in October saw participation from about 74 companies, achieving significant results.
Along with this, large-scale development projects, which residents are highly interested in, are also being smoothly promoted.
For the public contribution site of the 'Attracting cultural and job support facilities to the Seongdong Detention Center site' project, the district plans to consult with Seoul City prioritizing the reflection of local residents' opinions and job creation, including the construction of complex cultural facilities and youth job support facilities.
The 'Central Radio Management Office Songpa ICT Security Cluster Creation' project had its district unit planning zone designation and plan (draft) amended and approved by Seoul City on October 28, and is awaiting final notification. By expanding the 4th industrial infrastructure, it is expected to secure future national competitiveness and foster ICT-related industries in the surrounding areas, enabling the creation of more jobs.
