Coupang Reports One COVID-19 Case at Bucheon Logistics Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] One of the workers at Coupang Bucheon 2 Logistics Center tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), leading to the closure of the center.
According to health authorities and Coupang on the 8th, employee A, who worked at the Bucheon 2 Logistics Center, was confirmed to have COVID-19. This worker was responsible for the daytime shift shipments and was last reported to have worked at the Bucheon 2 Logistics Center on the 5th. The positive test result was confirmed on the 8th.
As a preventive measure, Coupang immediately sent home all workers at the Bucheon 2 Logistics Center upon receiving the notification of A's positive diagnosis and closed the center from 6:30 PM to conduct additional disinfection and sanitation. Coupang also informed all employees through text messages and verbal notifications about the situation and stated that necessary measures are being taken to complete the investigation by health authorities.
