View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced on the 8th that it received the Grand Prize in the 2020 Livestock Policy Comprehensive Evaluation hosted by Jeollanam-do.
The Livestock Policy Comprehensive Evaluation is conducted annually to assess the overall performance of livestock policies in 22 cities and counties within the province, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of agricultural and livestock projects and to discover new policies through creative initiatives.
The evaluation covers four areas: livestock policy, animal welfare, livestock management, and livestock resources. It assesses detailed items such as ICT convergence projects, operation of the Green Livestock Promotion Fund, expansion of forage production infrastructure, livestock manure resource recycling, legalization of unauthorized livestock facilities, animal registration and abandoned animal management, eco-friendly livestock product certification, and designation of clean livestock farms.
Haenam-gun received excellent evaluations for its efforts in modernizing livestock facilities to promote environmentally friendly green livestock practices, achieving eco-friendly livestock product certification goals, spreading animal welfare-oriented green livestock farms, and actively reducing livestock odor and managing manure treatment.
