Gokseong Premium Strawberries Begin Export to Southeast Asia Region This Year
[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 8th, Jeonnam Gokseong-gun announced that Gokseong premium strawberries boarded a plane bound for Thailand and embarked on their first export journey on the 2nd.
This year, Gokseong-gun's strawberry exports started 9 days earlier than last year. Starting with 99 kg, the goal is to export about 20 tons (over 200 million KRW) to Southeast Asian regions such as Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Singapore by April next year.
About 10 farmers focusing on exports said, "Although market conditions are difficult due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we will do our best to export systematic and safe high-quality strawberries."
