Ubicare, Domestic Patent for Pharmacy Management System Using Communication Terminals
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyun-ui Cho] Ubicare announced on the 8th that it has registered a domestic patent for the ‘Method for Controlling a Pharmacy Management System Using a Communication Terminal and Pharmacy Management System Control System.’
This patent involves technology that links the pharmacy management system (PMS) on a pharmacy computer (PC) with various mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
This technology allows prescription information, dispensing details, and payment information, which were previously processed through the pharmacy PC, to be entered via mobile devices, thereby improving pharmacists' work convenience.
It also shortens the medication dispensing time, reducing patient waiting times within the pharmacy. Information on special notes during medication dispensing can be immediately checked on mobile devices.
Ubicare expects this technology to improve pharmacy operation turnover, reduce the number of close contacts within the pharmacy, and efficiently assist in prescription medication dispensing tasks.
