NC's K-pop Platform 'Universe' Surpasses 1 Million Pre-Registrations
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] NCSoft's upcoming K-pop entertainment platform 'UNIVERSE' has surpassed 1 million pre-registrations.
According to NCSoft on the 8th, UNIVERSE is an all-in-one platform where users can enjoy various online and offline fandom activities on mobile.
It features entertainment content combined with IT technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) voice synthesis, motion capture, and character scanning.
Since pre-registration began on the 12th of last month, K-pop fans from 186 countries worldwide, including Korea, the United States, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Brazil, have participated.
NCSoft plans to reveal the rewards for pre-registrants on the 16th.
So far, the idols confirmed to meet fans on UNIVERSE include Kang Daniel, The Boyz, Monsta X, Park Jihoon, CIX, ASTRO, IZ*ONE, AB6IX, ATEEZ, (G)I-DLE, and WJSN.
More artists will continue to be added after the launch of UNIVERSE.

NCSoft previously established its subsidiary KLEB to prepare the UNIVERSE service, aiming for a release early next year. Kim Taek-heon, Senior Vice President of NCSoft and younger brother of CEO Kim Taek-jin, serves as the CEO of KLEB.
