LG Hausys Conducts 'Creating Happy Spaces' to Improve Child and Youth Facilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] LG Hausys carried out the 'Creating Happy Spaces' campaign by providing interior materials to 11 regional children's centers nationwide to improve outdated facilities.
On the 8th, LG Hausys held the '2020 Creating Happy Spaces Completion Ceremony' at Dasom Regional Children's Center in Gwangmyeong-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Considering the increased importance of care facilities in local communities due to COVID-19 this year and the fact that most facilities face difficulties in improving aging environments due to financial burdens, LG Hausys took the initiative to support the renovation of regional children's centers.
LG Hausys, together with the National Association of Regional Children's Centers, selected a total of 11 regional children's centers nationwide?1 in Gyeonggi-do, 3 in Chungcheong-do, 3 in Gyeongsang-do, and 4 in Jeolla-do?based on the urgency of renovation work and the state of aging, and carried out renovation work such as floor replacement and wallpapering.
The 'Dasom Regional Children's Center,' where the event was held, was established in 2016 and currently serves about 30 elementary and middle school students. The flooring and wallpaper inside the center were severely damaged, causing difficulties for the children in their daily lives. The renovation work was carried out to reopen the center in a more pleasant environment.
Kim Jeongsuk, director of Dasom Regional Children's Center, expressed gratitude, saying, "With LG Hausys' help in renovating the center, we will work harder in caring for the children and operating the center so that our children can grow up healthily."
Lee Dongju, Executive Director of Public Relations and External Cooperation at LG Hausys, said, "We will continue the 'Creating Happy Spaces' campaign to support children and adolescents, the future leaders, so that they can nurture their dreams and live in better environments."
