Vice President Oh Se-cheol Appointed as CEO of Samsung C&T Construction Division

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Samsung C&T announced on the 8th that Oh Secheol, Vice President of the Construction Division, has been appointed as President and CEO of the same division.
In addition, Samsung Human Resources Development Center Vice President Han Seunghwan was promoted and appointed as President and CEO of the Resort Division as well as CEO of Samsung Welstory in the 2021 regular executive appointments.
President and CEO Oh Secheol is a field expert who has experience at construction sites in Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, and served as Head of Global Procurement before leading the Plant Business Division since December 2015.
Samsung C&T expects President Oh to strengthen technological capabilities and project competencies in each field of architecture, civil engineering, plant, and housing.
President and CEO Han Seunghwan has extensive experience in roles such as Management Planning Team, SDS HR Team Leader, and Smart Town Business Division Head, and has been serving as Deputy Director of the Human Resources Development Center since December 2015. Based on his abundant know-how in talent development and management, he is expected to lead growth in the service-oriented Resort Division.
Samsung C&T explained the recent executive appointments by stating, "We have realized change and innovation by boldly appointing field experts with core experience and capabilities necessary for each division as Presidents and CEOs simultaneously upon their promotion."
Samsung C&T plans to finalize and announce the 2021 regular executive appointments below the Vice President level soon.
