[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Pohang City announced on the 7th that it has completed the written agreement related to the Yeongilman Marine Cable Car installation project, which has been continuously promoted, and will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on the 18th at the square in front of the Yeongildae Marine Pavilion.
The Yeongilman Marine Cable Car installation project was actively promoted in 2017 following requests from nearby residents, but it had been postponed due to various setbacks such as the Pohang earthquake and COVID-19.

The project implementer, Pohang Yeongilman Marine Cable Car Co., Ltd., is investing a total of 79.8 billion KRW to install an automatic circulating bi-directional monocable car along a total length of 1.8 km connecting Yeongildae Beach area, Pohang Passenger Terminal, and Hwanho Park, aiming for completion in the first half of 2022.
