12th Gusang Literary Award Goes to Kim Namjo's Poetry Collection 'Saram-a, Saram-a'
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The 12th Gusang Literary Award grand prize was awarded to poet Kim Nam-jo's poetry collection "Saram-a, Saram-a" (Oh People, Oh People), the Gusang Memorial Project Association and Yeongdeungpo District Office in Seoul announced on the 7th.
The judging panel explained the selection reason as "The religious sincerity is full, and it makes one truly feel the sincerity, purity, and spiritual sanctity of the veteran poet's poetry and life."
The special prize winner was literary critic Koo Joong-seo, who has long studied and promoted poet Gusang's works.

The Gusang Literary Award was established in 2009 to honor poet Gusang (1919?2004). The award ceremony will be held on the 23rd at Yeongdeungpo Art Hall. The prize money is 50 million won for the Gusang Literary Award and 10 million won for the special prize.
