[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Action Square, a subsidiary of YJM Games, announced on the 7th that its mobile game 'Samguk Blade' has signed a publishing contract with 5X Inc and is officially entering the Japanese mobile game market.
5X Inc, which signed the Japanese publishing contract, is a company led by personnel with experience in major Japanese publishers and possesses know-how and strengths in the Japanese and Southeast Asian markets. Having recently succeeded in raising 15 billion KRW in new funding, it is expected that the attack on the Japanese market for Samguk Blade will accelerate further.
Through this service contract, 5X Inc will oversee the publishing operations of 'Samguk Blade' in Japan and, aiming for the first quarter of next year, will work with Action Square to develop and service thoroughly localized and optimized content for Japanese users.
Samguk Blade is an action RPG that combines the 'Samgukji' story with exhilarating action based on Unreal Engine. From the development stage, it attracted high interest and expectations from the global market, and after its release, it consistently showed popularity, ranking 4th in Google Play's top grossing charts, drawing even more attention to its overseas market expansion.
Additionally, Action Square plans to accelerate its global market expansion by delivering new fun elements along with major in-game changes through a large-scale 2.0 update early next year.
