On the 7th, Ulsan City announced that 53 additional confirmed cases were reported at Yangji Nursing Hospital, where 38 confirmed cases, including nursing assistants and inpatients, occurred the previous day.
Starting with Ulsan patient number 222, a retired nursing assistant presumed to be the initial infected person, a total of 92 confirmed cases have been identified at this nursing hospital.
The newly confirmed cases on this day include 52 patients and 1 nursing assistant. There were 11 males and 42 females.
The number of elderly confirmed cases has also significantly increased: 11 in their 70s, 24 in their 80s, and 12 in their 90s. One additional confirmed case over 100 years old was also reported. So far, 64 confirmed cases aged 70 and above have been identified at this nursing hospital.
Ulsan City is conducting a large-scale epidemiological investigation into the movements and contacts of the confirmed cases. The possibility of additional confirmed cases remains high.
