One Confirmed COVID-19 Case Among Seoul CSAT Test Takers... 32 Students and Proctors at Same Exam Site Undergoing Testing
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Following the '2021 College Scholastic Ability Test' held on the 4th, the first confirmed COVID-19 case among test takers has emerged, and health authorities are conducting diagnostic tests for close contacts.
Seo Jeong-hyeop, Acting Mayor of Seoul, stated in an interview with KBS1 Radio's 'Choi Kang-rae's Choi Kang Current Affairs' on the morning of the 7th, "One confirmed case was found among the test takers, and since yesterday (the 6th), COVID-19 tests have been conducted on all test takers and supervisors who took the exam at the same testing site."
This is the first confirmed case of a test taker in Seoul after the exam day. Besides the confirmed case, 23 test takers took the exam at this testing site, and 9 supervisors were assigned there.
Acting Mayor Seo also explained, "As a result of proactive testing conducted on 875 supervisors who volunteered on the 4th and 5th, all tested negative."
Since the end of the exam, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has established a cooperative system with autonomous districts and universities to intensively disinfect university area restaurants, cafes, karaoke rooms, and other places frequently visited by test takers.

Acting Mayor Seo said, "The exam may be over, but the admissions process is not finished as university-specific evaluations continue. We have designated the period until February 5th next year as a special countermeasure period and plan to focus on intensive disinfection."
