[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Eight new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been reported in Busan.
According to Busan Metropolitan City on the 5th, eight confirmed cases were reported the previous day.
Seven were identified as contacts of existing confirmed cases, and the infection route of the remaining one is unclear, with epidemiological investigations underway.
Additionally, one self-quarantined individual who left quarantine without permission was also caught. He is a man in his 60s who was scheduled to self-quarantine from the 29th of last month until the 11th of this month but was found to have gone out without permission for work-related reasons.
The health authorities plan to file charges for violating the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
