[Today’s Weather] Most of the Country Warm Morning Above Freezing... Fine Dust 'Bad' Warning
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] On Sunday the 6th, morning temperatures in most parts of the country will rise above freezing, making it mild.
There will be mostly cloudy skies nationwide, but Gangwon Yeongdong and Gyeongsang provinces will be mostly clear. The southern regions will gradually clear up from the morning.
In the southern coast of Gyeonggi Province, Chungcheong Province, Jeonbuk, and the western coast of Jeonnam, there may be sporadic snow flurries or raindrops. In areas where snow or raindrops fall, low temperatures may cause black ice on roads, making them slippery, so caution is advised for traffic safety.
Strong winds are expected in the Gangwon Yeongdong area from the afternoon, so be careful to avoid accidents.
The morning low temperatures are forecasted as follows: △Seoul 1°C △Daejeon 0°C △Daegu 2°C △Busan 3°C △Jeonju 2°C △Gwangju 2°C △Cheongju 1°C △Chuncheon -4°C △Gangneung 2°C △Jeju 6°C △Ulleungdo·Dokdo 6°C.
The daytime high temperatures are expected to be: △Seoul 8°C △Daejeon 9°C △Daegu 11°C △Busan 13°C △Jeonju 10°C △Gwangju 12°C △Cheongju 9°C △Chuncheon 7°C △Gangneung 11°C △Jeju 13°C △Ulleungdo·Dokdo 10°C.
Fine dust levels will be 'bad' in the central-western regions including Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, Chungbuk, and Chungnam due to stagnant air and the influx of foreign fine dust. Other regions are expected to have 'normal' levels.
