SPC Group Opens 'Pig in the Garden' Salad Specialty Store in Gwanghwamun
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] SPC Group announced on the 2nd that its salad brand Pig in the Garden has opened a new store in Gwanghwamun, Seoul.
The Pig in the Garden Gwanghwamun branch is the fifth store following Yeouido, Gangnam, Pangyo, and COEX, located on the first floor of the ‘D Tower’ with an area of 207㎡ and 90 seats. The store is decorated with various plants throughout to create a nature-friendly atmosphere, and features an open kitchen concept allowing customers to see the cooking process.
At the Gwanghwamun branch, the winter new menu is introduced earlier than at other locations. The seasonal winter ingredients cauliflower and pomegranate are topped with soft milk cheese foam and Grana Padano cheese to express a snowy winter garden in the seasonal salad ‘Snowing Pom Pom (12,900 KRW)’. Another item is the ‘Grilled Taco Meat Wrap (8,900 KRW)’, a wrap sandwich filled generously with plant-based meat substitute, avocado, grilled vegetables, and Dasom lettuce in a whole wheat tortilla, suitable for vegetarians.
Additionally, the special menu ‘Rotisserie Chicken’, which was launched at the COEX branch opening, is also offered at the Gwanghwamun branch. The rotisserie chicken is characterized by being roasted in a direct-fire rotating oven, resulting in less oil and a light flavor. The menu includes Rotisserie Chicken Avo Rice (13,900 KRW) served with brown rice and avocado, Rotisserie Chicken Plate (14,900 KRW) served with scoop salad, and Rotisserie Chicken Platter (21,900 KRW) which pairs well with beer.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the opening of the fifth store, Pig in the Garden is holding various events. From the opening day, the first 1,000 customers will receive a ballpoint pen and illustrated stickers featuring the Pig in the Garden character. Customers who purchase over 30,000 KRW will be gifted a signature dressing made fresh in-store on the same day, contained in a dressing bottle designed by design master Alessandro Mendini.
