According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 2nd, two people were diagnosed with COVID-19 overnight and were classified as cases 727 and 728 in the region.
Case 727 is a resident of Jangdeok-dong, Gwangsan-gu, and has been confirmed to be related to case 698 in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. Case 698 in Seongnam developed symptoms on the 28th of last month, had a specimen collected on the 30th, and was confirmed positive the day before. The infection route is currently under investigation.
Case 728, a resident of Ilgok-dong, Buk-gu, is also a family member of case 721, whose infection route is unknown.
Including cases 727 and 728, a total of 10 people were confirmed positive in one day yesterday.
