The news of Vice Minister Ko came after the Seoul Administrative Court issued a decision to suspend the effect of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's suspension earlier that day. Vice Minister Ko is reported to have said, "I empathize with the responsibility as Vice Minister for the recent series of incidents."
The Ministry of Justice announced that it will soon proceed with appointing a successor to Vice Minister Ko.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice accepted Prosecutor General Yoon's request to postpone the disciplinary committee meeting by two days from the 2nd. The Ministry explained, "To ensure sufficient procedural rights and the right to defense, we accepted the Prosecutor General's request and decided to postpone the Prosecutor Disciplinary Committee to this Friday (the 4th)."

Regarding the court's decision to suspend the enforcement of Prosecutor General Yoon's suspension, the Ministry stated, "We respect the decision as it is limited to the judgment on the temporary measure of suspension of duties."
