Imsil-gun Health and Medical Center Launches State-of-the-Art Digital CT Scanner
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] On the 1st, Jeonbuk Imsil-gun Health and Medical Center announced that it held the 'Radiology CT Room Opening Ceremony' on the 30th of last month, attended by County Governor Sim Min and Director Yang Hyung-sik.
The county health and medical center installed state-of-the-art digital CT (Computed Tomography) equipment, essential for outpatient and emergency care, in the radiology CT room and has begun full-scale operation.
The CT equipment introduced this time was purchased for 700 million KRW, including national funds, after Imsil-gun was selected as a target for the 2019 Rural Medical Service Improvement Project.
The newly introduced and operated German Siemens Healthineers CT (model: SOMATOM go.Top) is a state-of-the-art digital device that provides images up to 70 cm in size and 384 images per rotation.
It features the ability to reduce radiation exposure to the human body by up to 60% (verified by the U.S. FDA).
It also enables high-speed imaging, patient safety, and accurate diagnosis due to excellent resolution.
