SGI Seoul Guarantee Appoints Yoo Gwang-yeol, Former Senior Deputy Governor of FSC, as New CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance announced on the 30th that it appointed Yoo Kwang-yeol, former Senior Deputy Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, as the new CEO through an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.
New CEO Yoo graduated from Gunsan High School and Seoul National University with a degree in Economics, earned a master's degree in Public Administration from Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Administration, and obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Texas Graduate School.
He entered public service by passing the 29th Administrative Examination, worked at the Economic Planning Board, and served as Director of the International Financial Cooperation Bureau at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit at the Financial Services Commission, Standing Commissioner of the Securities and Futures Commission, and Senior Deputy Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service.
