Grand Korea Leisure Increases 'Win-Win Growth Fund' for Tourism Industry Support to 150 Billion Won
Small Business Owners Nationwide Also Included in Support 대상
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) announced on the 30th that it will expand and operate the 'GKL Win-Win Growth Fund' to support the tourism industry, small and medium-sized enterprises, and small business owners nationwide who are suffering from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The GKL Win-Win Growth Fund is part of the win-win growth cooperation project. In 2018, together with IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, a fund worth 100 billion KRW was established to support tourism businesses nationwide and small and medium-sized enterprises in industrial and employment crisis areas such as Geoje in Gyeongnam and Mokpo in Jeonnam, providing low-interest loans to companies facing difficulties in raising funds.
This year, the fund size increased to 150 billion KRW, and the support target was expanded to include small business owners nationwide. As of last month, a total of 51.32 billion KRW in loans was provided to 514 companies.
