[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Two employees at Samsung Electronics' Gwangju plant tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Samsung Electronics on the 30th, two employees working on the refrigerator production line at the Gwangju plant were confirmed positive for COVID-19 early that morning. The exact infection routes of these individuals have not yet been identified.
In response, Samsung Electronics informed its employees about the confirmed cases and instructed those working on the same floor to undergo COVID-19 testing.
The company also decided to close the building for the entire day and to shut down and disinfect the floor where the infected employees worked for three days.

According to Samsung Electronics, other home appliance production lines, excluding the refrigerator line where the confirmed cases were found, are operating normally. The Gwangju plant produces premium products such as air conditioners, washing machines, and refrigerators.
