2 More Cases Added from Danran Pub in Changwon, Gyeongnam, Total Now 39
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju-cheol In] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) originating from a Danranjumeom (karaoke bar) in Changwon, Gyeongnam, has increased to 39.
Gyeongnam Province announced on the 29th after 2 p.m. that a person in their 60s (No. 618) and a person in their 50s (No. 619), both residing in Changwon, tested positive.
They are infected individuals linked to the 'Arari Danranjumeom' in Masanhwoaegu, Changwon. No. 618 used a sauna previously visited by confirmed cases, and No. 619 used this Danranjumeom.
As of 6 p.m. that day, 22 confirmed cases were reported in Gyeongnam: 15 in Changwon, 3 in Gimhae, 2 in Jinju, 1 in Yangsan, and 1 in Geochang.
The most cases, 11, were related to the 'Arari Danranjumeom' in Changwon. This brings the total number of confirmed cases linked to the 'Arari Danranjumeom' to 39.
Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province has risen to 616 (229 hospitalized, 386 discharged, 1 deceased).
