One Judge at Suwon District Court Anyang Branch Tests Positive for COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The Suwon District Court Anyang Branch announced on the 29th that Judge A of this court tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Judge A received information on the 23rd that an acquaintance who had dined together the previous day tested positive, subsequently underwent a COVID test, and was confirmed positive. Six judges who recently had lunch with Judge A were also tested. Among them, two tested negative, and the remaining four are awaiting results.
On the same day, the Anyang Branch disinfected the entire courthouse and ordered about 10 colleagues, including judges and staff classified as close contacts of Judge A, to self-quarantine for two weeks.

This is the second known case of a sitting judge infected with COVID-19, following a chief judge at the Jeonju District Court in August.
