Gyeongnam Information University (President Chu Man-seok) Beauty Department’s Skin, Makeup, and Nail Major held the ‘2020 Art Mask Beauty Competition’ on the 16th for first-year students at the Twin Tower on campus.
This competition featured the ‘Yaksun Myungga Plaster Mask’ category sponsored by the esthetic company Yaksun Myungga Co., Ltd., with 35 participants, and the ‘Art Mask’ category sponsored by The Felice, also with 35 participants, competing to showcase their skills.
In the ‘Yaksun Myungga Plaster Mask’ category, first-year student Jang Ye-won won the grand prize. Along with the President’s Award, she received a scholarship of 300,000 KRW and a 4-night, 5-day overseas training trip to Yaksun Myungga Singapore as a prize.
In the ‘Art Mask’ category, first-year student Kang Hye-jin won the grand prize, receiving the President’s Award and a professional artist brush set worth approximately 300,000 KRW as a prize.
Student Jang Ye-won (19 years old) said, “I was disappointed that external beauty competitions were canceled due to COVID-19, but I had the opportunity to engage in friendly competition on campus.”
On November 18 at 2 p.m., a ‘Juno Hair Scholarship Award Ceremony’ was held at the campus Art Hall for hair major students.
At the event, Juno Hair donated a scholarship of 5 million KRW to the university’s Beauty Department hair major students and promised to continue supporting them in the future.
University officials and Juno Hair headquarters’ Director Kim Soo-yeon, Busan Branch Manager Choi Jeong-hwa, Ulsan Branch Manager Yoon Oe-sun, and Seoul Branch Manager Park Sang-gyu attended the ceremony.
