View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) announced that Dongmyeong Church (Senior Pastor Choi Hak-sik) visited Dongdaemun-gu Office at 11 a.m. on the 25th and donated 202 bags of ‘Love Rice’ prepared to help marginalized neighbors.
Since 2016, Dongmyeong Church has consistently donated rice, cash, and other items to Dongdaemun-gu to practice neighborly sharing. Despite difficulties caused by COVID-19 this year, the church delivered 2,020 kg of ‘Love Rice’ (10 kg per bag, valued at approximately 5.85 million KRW) to Dongdaemun-gu.
With this, Dongmyeong Church has donated a total of 544 bags of rice (valued at about 18 million KRW) and 400,000 KRW in cash to Dongdaemun-gu from 2016 to this day.
The district plans to distribute the ‘Love Rice’ received on this day to basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups in Yongsin-dong, Jeonnong 1-dong, Jegi-dong, Dapsimni 1-dong, and other areas.
