Coupang Opens 'Super Seoul Week' to Support Seoul Small Business Owners
Up to 20% Instant Discount on Seoul Small Business Products for 3 Weeks
Coupang Directly Purchases Over 1,500 Products from 332 Small Business Vendors
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang has stepped up to support small business owners in Seoul who are facing difficulties and to contribute to revitalizing the local economy. On the 24th, Coupang announced that it will hold 'Super Seoul Week,' offering up to a 20% instant discount on purchases of products from Seoul's small business owners for three weeks until the 13th of next month. A budget of 100 million KRW has been allocated to provide the instant discount benefits.
Products eligible for 'Super Seoul Week' can be found on Coupang's 'Cheer Up Korea' special exhibition page. Coupang directly purchased about 1,500 products from 332 small business owners located in Seoul participating in this special exhibition. To directly help increase sales for small business owners, Coupang will also support marketing worth 107 million KRW, including main page advertisements.
Yoon Hye-young, Vice President of Coupang Retail, said, "Through Super Seoul Week, products from Seoul's small business owners are also participating in the 'Cheer Up Korea' special exhibition," adding, "We hope this event will be helpful both to Seoul's small business owners and to customers preparing gifts for the year-end."

Meanwhile, Coupang has been holding the 'Cheer Up Korea' special exhibition since April to provide new sales channels to local small business owners and help revitalize the local economy amid the economic downturn caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). It has introduced products from small and medium-sized business owners in regions such as Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gyeongnam, Gyeongbuk, Daegu, Gwangju, and Jeju to customers nationwide.
