Mokpo Island Senior Welfare Center Supports Gas Safety Shutoff Devices for 260 Vulnerable Households

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Ki-dong] The social welfare corporation E-Land Welfare Foundation (Chairman Park Sung-kyung) announced on the 21st that Mokpo E-Land Senior Welfare Center (Director Kang Ju-ho) has been providing gas safety shut-off devices to 260 households receiving customized elderly care services for 12 days from the 9th to the 20th.
This project is being carried out through Happy Bean online fundraising and cooperation with the Western Branch of the Korea Gas Safety Corporation, and it is expected to greatly help ensure the safe living of elderly people exposed to fire risks due to difficulties in gas management among the customized elderly care service recipients, as well as prevent fire accidents.
An elderly person from Sanjeong-dong who received the gas safety shut-off device expressed gratitude, saying, "As I get older, I often worry because I leave food on the gas stove and forget about it, but now that the gas shut-off device is installed, I feel relieved."
Director Kang Ju-ho said, "We are grateful that the installation of gas safety shut-off devices allows the elderly to live in a safer environment, and we thank the many sponsors and the executives and employees of the Western Branch of the Korea Gas Safety Corporation for their support. We will continue to strive to improve the quality of life for the elderly by linking services tailored to their needs."

The customized elderly care service provides appropriate tailored care services to vulnerable elderly people who have difficulty maintaining daily life, aiming to ensure a stable old age, maintain and prevent deterioration of elderly functions and health. Mokpo E-Land Senior Welfare Center manages the second district of Mokpo City (a total of 7 neighborhoods).
