According to local media on the 21st, the number of COVID-19 cases in Japan as of 10:30 PM the previous day was 2,425.
As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Japan rose to 128,335. The death toll stands at 1,982.
The daily new cases in Japan have exceeded 2,000 for three consecutive days since the 18th, setting an all-time high.
The acceleration of COVID-19 spread in Japan is attributed not only to the change of seasons but also to the economic stimulus measures promoted by the Japanese government.
