[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Yoo Su-yeon (27, photo) secured the top spot in the qualifying tournament.
On the 20th, at Jeonnam Muan Golf Course (par 72, 6,335 yards), Yoo shot an even par in the third round of the final Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour qualifying tournament, rising to first place by 2 strokes (10 under par, 206 strokes). The tournament was originally scheduled as a 72-hole stroke play over four days but was shortened to 54 holes due to severe weather the previous day. Yoo started strong with 6 under par on the first day and 4 under par on the second day, securing a favorable position to earn her full tour card for next year early on.
Yoo Su-yeon debuted as a professional in 2012 and mainly competed on the Jump (3rd tier) and Dream (2nd tier) tours. She played on the first-tier tour in 2017 and 2018. This year, she ranked 56th in Dream Tour earnings (14.34 million KRW) but joined the finals after placing 4th in the C group of the qualifying preliminaries last week, ultimately claiming the top honor. Kang Ye-rin (26) and Kim Sae-romi (22) tied for 2nd place (8 under par, 208 strokes), Lee Joo-mi (25) placed 4th (6 under par, 210 strokes), and Kim Hyo-moon (22) secured 5th place (5 under par, 211 strokes), all earning their tour cards.
Kim Soo-ji (24), Na Hee-won (26), Bae So-hyun (27), Kim Hyun-soo (28), Jung Hee-won (29), Yoo Hyo-ju (23), and Kim Cho-hee (28) entered the 'Top 25,' allowing them to participate in nearly all KLPGA Tour events next year. On the other hand, Kim Ye-jin (25), Han Sang-hee (30), Hong Jin-joo (37), Shim Hyun-hwa (31), and Ahn So-hyun (25) fell outside the top 50, facing disappointment. Park Yoo-na (33), Yoon Seul-ah (34), Jung Hye-jin (33), and Hwang Ye-na (27) withdrew and will move down to the Dream Tour next year.

Meanwhile, at the Korean Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Korean Tour Qualifying Tournament (QT) final third round held at Jeonbuk Gunsan Golf Course (par 71, 7,130 yards), Lee Kyu-min (20) shot 2 under par to claim first place (8 under par, 205 strokes).
