Foreign Worker Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Killing Colleague with a Knife
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] The Changwon District Court Criminal Division 2 (Presiding Judge Lee Jeong-hyun) announced on the 19th that it sentenced A (28), a Myanmar national foreign worker who was tried for stabbing and killing a coworker at the same workplace, to 12 years in prison.
A stabbed B (26), a fellow national, 15 times with a weapon at a paprika farm dormitory in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, on July 7 this year, causing B's death.
It was confirmed that the crime was committed out of anger when B questioned A, asking, "Why don't you inform the employer of your intention to transfer to another place?"

The court stated, "Murder is the most serious crime that cannot be tolerated for any reason," and "It is clear that the victim suffered extreme pain due to the defendant's crime."
