Gangbuk-gu and Haeyeon Foundation Sign Support Agreement for Children with Rare and Intractable Diseases... Annual Donations Exceeding 50 Million Won Starting Next Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) signed a support agreement for children with intractable diseases with the Haeyeon Foundation (Chairman Kim Hae-ran) at the district office meeting room on the 16th.
This agreement was prepared to extend a warm helping hand to children with rare and intractable diseases and their families. The core of the agreement is to support the medical expenses of children with intractable diseases and the living expenses of their families.
The two organizations will share responsibilities to support children with intractable diseases and their families. The district will select priority recipients among children with rare and intractable diseases residing in the area and recommend them to the foundation. The foundation will strive to raise donations above a certain scale.
The foundation plans to start with 30 million won this year and prepare about 50 million won annually from next year onward.
The agreement period is until December 31, 2022, and can be automatically extended annually under the same conditions.
