They are students attending an acting academy who had contact with Mokpo patient No. 21 (Jeonnam 270), the son-in-law of Mokpo patient No. 17 (Jeonnam 258), who was confirmed positive after surgery at Jeonnam National University Hospital.
Mokpo University identified that the confirmed students attended school only on the 16th and consequently took emergency closure measures on the College of Humanities and Central Library buildings they visited on the 18th.
Accordingly, Mokpo University conducted COVID-19 tests on 706 students and faculty members on the 18th, and all tested negative on the 19th.

A Mokpo University official stated, “Fortunately, no additional confirmed cases have occurred, but we will switch to remote classes for one week, strengthen school disinfection and quarantine measures, and continue to monitor the health status of students.”
