Jeju Coast Guard Agency Holds Workshop to Strengthen Equipment Management Skills
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Jeju Regional Coast Guard Agency (Chief Kim Seongjong) held a workshop on strengthening work capabilities to enhance equipment management expertise on the 19th.
At this workshop, more than 40 police officers working at police stations and patrol vessels attended to share the results of major policy implementations this year and discuss improvement plans in the areas of vessel maintenance and supply to set the direction for next year's work.
In particular, the workshop included a presentation session to share fieldwork experiences and select and commend outstanding cases. Additionally, a professional lecturer was invited to give a lecture on patrol vessel safety management measures and equipment management operations.

A Jeju Coast Guard official stated, "This workshop was a time for communication where we could listen to the problems in equipment management and the voices from the frontline." He added, "We will establish an efficient equipment management system to improve the operational rate of vessel equipment and be prepared for immediate response to various maritime accidents."
