Hwasun-gun Promotes 'Children's School Bus LPG Conversion Project'
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 19th that it will promote the ‘Children’s School Vehicle LPG Conversion Project’ to protect children’s health and reduce various air pollutants such as fine dust.
Support for LPG conversion vehicles is provided for up to 10 vehicles, with 7 million KRW per vehicle.
This support project has expanded the support amount per vehicle from 5 million KRW to 7 million KRW due to the revision of the Ministry of Environment’s guidelines.
The eligibility criteria have also been expanded from ‘owners of children’s school vehicles registered in the county who purchase new LPG vehicles for the same purpose while scrapping old vehicles’ to ‘those who purchase new LPG children’s school vehicles regardless of scrapping status by the 31st of next month.’
Residents wishing to participate in the project can visit the Environmental Division of the county office and submit an application form by the 2nd of next month.
