Daesang Cheongjeongwon Launches Win-Win Cooperation Brand 'Foodmark' in Partnership with SMEs
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Daesang Cheongjeongwon announced on the 17th that it has launched the SME win-win cooperation brand ‘Foodmark.’
Foodmark is a food specialty brand created through the collaboration of food expert Cheongjeongwon’s know-how and honest, good SMEs. Daesang Cheongjeongwon launched Foodmark to achieve mutual growth through cooperation with small but strong companies that possess craftsmanship and authenticity, while providing better products to customers. Daesang Cheongjeongwon plans to select SMEs with excellent product capabilities and expand sales channels through marketing know-how and sales network support owned by Cheongjeongwon to pursue mutual growth.
The Foodmark BI reflects the brand slogan ‘Cheongjeongwon’s Delicious Choice’ along with the two intersecting ‘O’s in the word ‘FOOD,’ symbolizing Cheongjeongwon and good companies joining hands to provide honest food. The word ‘MARK’ signifies a mark guaranteeing good products that have passed Cheongjeongwon’s strict and rigorous quality and taste standards.
The two partner companies that launched products through the Foodmark launch are ‘Punggukmyeon’ and ‘Boseung Food.’ Punggukmyeon is a noodle specialist company in the Daegu region with 87 years of history. Through continuous quality development, it received HACCP certification in 2012, the first in the noodle industry, and established a fully automated noodle production system. Through this collaboration, Punggukmyeon introduced ‘Chewy Pungguk Somyeon.’ Chewy Pungguk Somyeon features noodles that do not easily become soggy and have a firm and chewy texture, made using Punggukmyeon’s 87-year traditional manufacturing method. It can be enjoyed easily by boiling for 3 minutes and 40 seconds.
Boseung Food is a pork-specialized processing company with 30 years of tradition, operating franchises such as Boseunghoegwan and Mits Jokbal. It is a strong small and medium enterprise that inherits traditional flavors and leads healthy and safe eating habits. Through this collaboration, it introduced ‘Chaljin Sundae’ and ‘Delicious and Chewy Pyeonyuk.’ ‘Chaljin Sundae’ is a sundae that can be conveniently enjoyed at home with the traditional taste intact. It uses 100% domestic pork and vegetables, ensuring safe consumption, and is a traditional food boiled in a secret broth with fresh pork. The delicious and chewy pyeonyuk is made from domestic pig head and domestic pork skin, free of off-flavors, and is a savory and convenient drinking snack.
Going forward, Daesang Cheongjeongwon plans to sell Foodmark products through retail channels such as individual supermarkets and Daesang Group’s integrated online mall Jeongwon e-Shop, gradually expanding distribution channels. It also plans to continuously expand product categories from primary agricultural and marine products to noodles, meat processing, and fish meat processing by expanding partner companies. The goal is to achieve sales of 12 billion KRW by 2023.
