[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Nowon-gu (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) held the 2021 Warm Winter Campaign Launch Ceremony and the 1st Donor Presentation Ceremony at 3 p.m. on the 16th in the lobby on the first floor of the district office.
The Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign, conducted through cooperation between the Community Chest of Korea and public-private sectors, is a project that supports neighbors marginalized by the public resource system.
The Love Temperature Tower was prepared to encourage voluntary participation of residents in fundraising to help those in need. On this day, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, became the first donor as a citizen of Nowon-gu, marking the start of donations.
The Love Temperature Tower (1m wide x 2.3m tall) rises by 1℃ each time 23 million KRW, which is 1% of the fundraising goal of 2.3 billion KRW, is collected, and when the goal is reached, it points to 100℃.
The event was attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, Kim Geun, Chairman of the Nowon Education Welfare Foundation, Kim Yong-hee, Director of the Seoul Community Chest Office, among others, and proceeded with congratulatory remarks, a rice cake cake candle extinguishing ceremony to wish for reaching 100℃, and the first donor donation.
