Two More COVID-19 Cases Confirmed Including Two Elementary Students Related to Jeonnam National University Hospital
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Amid the continuous occurrence of COVID-19 cases related to Jeonnam National University Hospital, two elementary school students have tested positive, causing health authorities to be on high alert.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 16th, three additional confirmed cases related to Jeonnam National University Hospital were reported in the afternoon, classified as local cases number 567 to 569.
Cases 567 and 568 were confirmed to be children of employees working at an in-hospital business previously confirmed positive, and they are students at Habek Elementary School.
Health authorities have set up a temporary screening clinic at the school and are conducting mass testing on about 800 students and staff. They have also sent mass testing notification texts to parents.
Case 569 is also known to be related to Jeonnam National University Hospital.
Currently, local infections related to Jeonnam National University Hospital are spreading rapidly.
