Time Magazine Selects 82nyeonsaeng Kim Jiyoung as One of the 100 Books of the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] The Korean novel '82nyeonsaeng Kim Jiyoung' has been selected as one of the 100 must-read books of the year by Time magazine in the United States.
On the 16th, Time announced that the English translation of '82nyeonsaeng Kim Jiyoung,' titled 'Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982,' was chosen as a book of the year. '82nyeonsaeng Kim Jiyoung' was published in the U.S. in April this year.
The English version of '82nyeonsaeng Kim Jiyoung' was translated by Jamie Jang from the novel by author Cho Nam-joo. Time praised it for "prompting young women to reconsider the roles implicitly imposed on them."

The English version of '82nyeonsaeng Kim Jiyoung' was also recently shortlisted for the American Book Awards preliminary round.
