Dongshin University Hosts the 1st National Life Music Competition
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Dongshin University announced on the 16th that it will host the ‘2020 1st Dongshin University National Life Music Competition’ organized by the Department of Musical and Practical Music.
Considering the spread of COVID-19, this competition will be conducted by receiving performance videos via YouTube links or email, and winners will be selected through non-face-to-face judging.
Only non-majors aged 18 and over nationwide can apply for the six competition categories: ocarina, harmonica, saxophone, pan flute, ukulele, and accordion.
Applicants must record and submit a video performing one free-choice piece either as a solo or ensemble (2 to 10 people). However, the video must be produced so that the judges can clearly identify the participants’ faces and actual performance.
Applications must be submitted through the Dongshin University website by the 30th of this month, and videos must be submitted by the 4th of next month.
Dongshin University plans to award prize money, certificates, and trophies by selecting the grand prize winner overall and the best, excellence, and encouragement awards for each category through judging.
