According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 15th, from 9 PM on the 15th to 10 AM on the 16th, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters is expected in many areas of the central region, Jeolla, inland Gyeongbuk, and western inland Gyeongnam, excluding Yeongdong in Gangwon.
In northern Gyeonggi and northern Chungcheong, very dense fog with visibility below 50 meters is also predicted. The KMA explained, "Especially on the West Coast bridges such as Seohae Bridge, Yeongjong Bridge, and Incheon Bridge, visibility will be very short, ranging from 10 to 200 meters due to dense fog," and added, "When driving, please maintain sufficient distance between vehicles and reduce speed to prevent collision accidents and ensure traffic safety."
Until 3 PM, some areas may still have light fog or haze. Haze is a phenomenon where the air appears hazy due to fine particles such as smoke and dust suspended in the atmosphere when visibility is over 1 km and humidity is relatively low.
Airports located on the West Coast and inland may experience disruptions in flight operations due to fog, so passengers should check flight information in advance.
On the 16th, the nationwide morning low temperatures will range from 2 to 12 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will range from 16 to 22 degrees Celsius. There is a high possibility that the temperature difference between day and night will exceed 10 degrees, especially inland.
In the central and northern parts of Yeongdong, Gangwon, less than 5 mm of rain is expected between 6 and 9 PM, and sporadic raindrops will fall at night in southern Yeongdong, Gangwon, and the northern East Coast of Gyeongbuk.
