[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Kakao Page announced on the 13th that it will supply content to the North American webtoon platform 'Tapas Media.'
Tapas, established in 2013, is the first webtoon platform in North America. It has 3 million monthly active users (MAU), over 80,000 works, and 80 original intellectual properties (IPs).
Kakao Page became the largest shareholder of Tapas in November, incorporating Tapas as an overseas affiliate.

In particular, Tapas' monthly sales increased fivefold in October this year compared to the same period last year after supplying Kakao Page IPs, and showed about a 30% sales growth rate around the time of IP supply.
Kakao Page plans to complete a global platform network based on Korea and Japan, expanding to Greater China, North America, India, and Southeast Asia.
